Sew-cial: a new chapter from Mitcham and Morden to South Wimbledon

There is something that happens when people sit down together and make something with their hands. Conversations start. Skills are shared. People who arrived as strangers leave as neighbours. That is what Little A.R.K.'s Sew-cial sessions have always been about — and now, with new spaces opening across South West London, more people than ever can be part of it.

The Sew-cial meet-ups are Little A.R.K.'s weekly community sewing circles: open to everyone, free to attend, and welcoming of all abilities. Whether you have never threaded a needle or have been sewing for decades, there is a place for you at the table.

Sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday, with two established venues already serving the community. Every Tuesday, 10am–3pm at Morden Park Baptist Church, Lower Morden Lane, SM4 4SS. Every Thursday, 10am–3pm at 81 London Road, Morden (2nd floor). In Q4 2026, Little A.R.K. is excited to expand to South Wimbledon — further details will be shared as the venue is confirmed.

The Sew-cial sessions sit at the heart of Little A.R.K.'s mission as a Community Interest Company: to empower people through sewing, reduce textile waste, develop skills, and build social cohesion across South West London. Sessions are non-partisan and non-sectarian — open to all, for the benefit of all.
